"Hector, my nephew is
now a hero among heroes. He was rescuing office workers who were glued to their
desks, scared and in great need of help. Rumored accounts place him and his
Engine Company 23 in Tower # 2 on or around the 20th floor where they were last
seen. Both Hector and Firefighter Papageorge had swapped shifts that day and
were not even supposed to be there. This shows their calling to fate and to the
courage and heroism they displayed in the face of great danger entering a
towering inferno to save countless lives that day."
