THE HALL OF FLAME
Phoenix, Arizona
The Hall of Flame Fire Museum in Phoenix, Arizona has one of the most moving
exhibitions/memorial to Heroic Firefighters in our Nation. The 911 memorial
contains photos of the 343 Firefighters, and 72 Police officers lost in the Line
of Duty on September 11th, 2001. Our Heroes! The Painted Pony with boots
backwards and the caps from the various NY Fire & Police Departments was
forwarded from NYC to the Museum in Phoenix. It is a magnificent piece. Beside
is stands a piece of steel from Ground Zero dedicated by the Phoenix Fire
Department to the Museum. This steel was brought back to Phoenix by retired FDNY
firefighters who went back to help their brothers in the greatest time of need
and tragedy. Their strength, courage and bravery shall never be forgotten.
