Just blocks away
from the scene, the Court Officers saw the destruction. Some ran, others took
buses to the site to assist in the evacuation of the survivors and to rescue
those trapped inside the burning inferno. Here you will read a small selection
from each of their stories which will appear in the upcoming book:
"Heroes of the WTC, No Greater Love".
Three of their bravest were lost when the building collapsed while they were
saving the lives of those injured. They were ordered to leave, but did not make
it out in time. Our hearts are with them and always will be!

Sergeant Tommy Jurgens, previous medic in the service and
voluntary firefighter in Long Island.
Sergeant Mitch Wallace, previous medic was with Tommy pulling out the injured
from the WTC.
Captain Harry T. Thompson, Officer at the Court Academy,
he bravely turned and entered Building 5 to rescue the injured
and gave the ultimate sacrifice.
